In Cayman Brac, there is a 140 foot bluff that provides protection from storms but no safe harbor. If coming from the Southwest to the Northeast, going along the bluff can have some larger waves coming from approaching hurricanes in the South. This results in waves building as they approach the end of the island and bouncing back out to sea. Big rolling waves adds to the adventure of this painting.
